OBJECTIVE:
Provide clients with personal and professional excellence in real estate consulting, brokerage, development and management services through my experience, skills, knowledge, understanding and industry connections.

Background & Experience

Dan started his career in real estate in 1974 and was licensed with his fathers Real Estate Brokerage, Simons and Company. There he learned the basics of commercial real estate and the importance of servicing the client's current needs and to anticipate their future needs. Dan was hired in 1980 by Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, as a Property Manager and leasing agent in Realty Operations. He was later promoted to Director over retail, office, and warehouse properties in Utah. In 1984 he joined the Charles Dunn Company as Regional Vice-President over Management, Leasing and Brokerage. In 1985 Equitable was successful in persuading Dan to return as Director of Property Management and Leasing over properties located in Utah, Idaho and Colorado. In 1990 he ventured out on his own forming his own real estate company. His company, Real Estate Consultants, provided clients throughout the western United States with personal and professional excellence in real estate consulting, brokerage, development and management services.

Dan's expertise, skills, knowledge and understanding of real estate were called into public service by Sandy City in the spring of 1994 as he assumed the appointed position of Director of Economic Development, Redevelopment and the Municipal Building Authority. He created and brought to life the slogan and campaign of "Sandy the Other Downtown." A successful campaign changing the commercial landscape of Sandy's commercial area around the South Towne Centre. It was here that he developed a relationship of trust with Larry H. Miller, working with him on various aspects of locating automobile dealerships in the Utah Auto Mall. Dan suggested that Larry build his dream restaurant on the site of the old Jordan High School and envisioned including theaters, other restaurants and office space there by creating a destination location. Larry liked the idea and the rest is history. Larry asked Dan to join the Larry H. Miller Group in 1997 and take charge of the real estate development now known as Jordan Commons. His work as Project Manager and Leasing Agent was completed in December 2000.

His latest large scale project is Thanksgiving Point where he is creating visions for new vistas and horizons through land sales, leasing and development.
